About Ryokan

◆Arai Ryokan Overview
A ryokan established in the 5th year of the Meiji era, located at the heart of the Shuzenji Onsen town.
This pure Japanese-style ryokan has been loved by numerous literary figures, including Yokoyama Taikan, Izumi Kyoka, and Ryunosuke Akutagawa, and has been the birthplace of many famous works.
The hot springs are all sourced directly from the spring and are continuously flowing. The specialty is the "Tenpei Bath," created by the Japanese-style painter Yasuda Yukihiko.
The 15 buildings of the ryokan are registered as Important Cultural Properties of Japan.
